These were so easy to use. I’m definitely no professional and I’ve only had this poodle a few months. this is only my second attempt at trimming her up and these scissors were soo much easier to use than even an electric buzzer. It’s almost fool proof the way it integrates the hair in each cut and the curve of the shears perfectly shapes the head and body. My poodle is just a puppy almost 6 months old I used buzzers and scissors along with a YouTube video To give her a hyigene cut 2 weeks ago which took me literal hours and she did not like the sound of the buzzer so I only used it on her face. I left her body and poofy head at that time because we both just needed it to be done. I ordered these shears after watching a YouTube video and seeing the groomer use this for finishing shaping around the head and tail. I used this for her whole body in place of using 19mm
Buzzer. I’m so glad I did because she was calm the entire time and I was done in just minutes! These are very sharp so be careful removing hair from the blades that you don’t slice a finger. Definitely worth the money!

I groom my own dogs at home, I am not a professional groomer, but quality tools are still important for a good looking result. This pair or thinners work like a dream. They cut cleanly, are easy to hold, and are not at all heavy. I love them and definitely recommend. As I said earlier, quality tools make all the difference when grooming my dogs.

These are fantastic curved shears! First off, they’re very sharp. I didn’t have any bending or folding hair stick in the scissor. It cuts right through. Second, the finger rests are on both of the holders rather than just one like another pair I use making them more comfortable for me to hold and use. Grooming can wear on my hands and wrists and this shear feels better. Finally, like most higher quality shears, it has a nice case they look good. In all, I’m very happy with these as a groomer. They work well, feel good, and I’m hoping will stay sharp.

Comfortable using

We have a super long-haired, fluffy cat that constantly gets poop in his rear end fluff, so we have to trim it. I hate doing this with regular scissors for a lot of reasons, including the fact that they're never sharp enough to do the job quickly or well.

But these scissors have changed everything.

The design of them allows me to be quick with cutting his fluff, because the combed side keeps the fluff in place while I'm cutting it, stopping it from sliding out of the scissors. Also, they're very sharp, so they cut evenly the first time. My cat is so happy to get this chore over with fast, and so am I, thanks to these great scissors.

Take a close look at the pictures to see how the handles are twisted away from each other. The scissors come with instructions on how to hold them, and I find them comfortable, although for me the position of the fingerholds is something different than I'm used to. These scissors aren't the lightest so they may cause hand strain over time, but they feel sturdy and like they'll hold up for ages. If you insert your fingers as instructed then the weight of the scissors is balanced nicely. They cut smoothly with no unexpected or grinding noises. These were very easy to handle for two different people in the home. We used it on a poodle and Maltese. Light and adjustable for desired friction.

Work well on our mini golden doodle. Seem pretty sharp, hope they last.

I have a Coton de Tulear who has long, fine hair that gets frequently matted. Until now, I've solely been pulling the mats apart by hand and/or using thinning shears for the more challenging ones. Since I added these thinners to my toolbox, I've used them on a daily basis. As thinners, they're more of a blunt cut than thinning shears, but when I don't have an hour to spend on grooming all the knots and mats out, this tool works magically for snipping them right off without having to make several cuts. I try not to do it too much in more visible areas, but he has such a thick coat that I don't really have to worry too much anyway. I also like that the tips aren't sharp, in case he gets wiggly. This feels like a quality pair of sharp scissors and has been super helpful in my home grooming tasks.

While these scissors are longer than I would like for getting to hard to reach areas, they do cut pet hair well. These scissors are likely meant for cutting larger breeds hair. At that, they likely are only meant for quickly trimming the bulk of body hair. Testing this on paper results in a straight, almost perforated, cut. There is no tearing or ripping. The cut is the same across the length of the blade. Other scissors I've tried need sharpening badly as they only cut well in certain areas of the blade. The scissors do come with a zippered case, cleaning cloth, and a guard.

Other than the length, the only thing I would change is the studded nut locking the scissors together. While nice, I think a plain nut would suffice for a pair of grooming scissors. Still, for the quality of the cut and sharpness of the blade I can make do with some extra bling on my grooming scissors.

I'm fairly new to the home grooming scene and have only given my 10 year old Golden Retriever a cut several times. There were areas in and around her hind quarters that I needed to thin and trim and I initially butchered her a bit and her withers looked uneven and sloppy. This pair of curved blenders allowed me to clean up the this area and blend/thin to a point where I am now satisfied with the results.

The scissors appear to be excellent quality and feel well balanced in my hand. Being a novice, I was able to accomplish the cut with the help of a few YouTube videos. I give this product my seal of approval and a 4 star rating, with one star deducted for the high price tag.

What a beautiful pair of scissors! I have a long haired Lhasa Apso, and I like to keep his eyes and paws cleared of the length. I love that I can feather his forehead to make my unprofessional hack job more attractive.
When these arrived I had done a pretty close hack job. I did smooth it out a bit, and I’m very hopeful that future haircuts will be much nicer now that I have these amazing shears.
My own hairdresser uses this type of thinning shear on my hair and the result is a wonderful look which is why I got these to try on my dog. I believe I can soften the cut edges so they blend in better to give a much more professional appearance.
These shears feel like great quality, they have a pretty little rhinestone setting on them which just makes me happy, and my dog doesn’t mind me using them so they must be sharp enough at least right out of the package. They come in a nice zipper case to keep them clean and protected.

I am not a professional groomer, but we do have 3 miniature poodles that we have been grooming for the past 4 years so I have quite a bit of novice experience under my belt. Along the way I have tried different products and tools, but I have never used a curved thinning shear. When I saw this pair, I decided to add them to my arsenal. I wasn’t sure that I would like them, especially considering the kind of wonky shape of the handle. Again, I’m not a professional and this may be the standard, but it was new to me. I’m happy to say that I REALLY like how the handles feel in my hands. They are not wonky at all, instead, they are much more ergonomic than others. They fit in a way that just feels natural. The cut is very smooth, and these shears do a great job. They definitely paid attention to details when designed. They embellished the adjustment screw with jewels, the handles are very ergonomic, and they are aligned perfectly so that they give a good smooth and even cut with absolutely no pulling. They even come in a case for storage. Great addition to my grooming tools.

These are light and feel sorta cheap so I wasn't expecting much, to be honest. The case they come in isn't something I'd want to store them in even if i used cases, it seems like it would fall apart after a few months of opening and closing it; that being said, its a great case to keep them safe during shipping. The first couple of times I closed them they did catch, but haven't since then. They're extremely sharp and I've been using them for about a month now, they still cut very well (smooth). The weight of them makes them easy to hold for extended periods of time (comparing them to my Kenchii Mustang straights, these are like holding a feather). I'll update this review if anything changes, but so far these are great!!

I have a set of German scissors that supposedly are high professional and have been pretty good to me over the years, but the layering scissors that came with them left a lot to be desired. I did not know what I was missing until I got these. Wow

First and foremost they are sharp as sharp can get. They are great for layering and thinning out thicker hair without leaving straight cuts. Since I'm a amateur dog groomer for my own pets over the years, precision is important and having the right tools to fix my mistakes is Paramount. These are great mistake fixers when I use the straight scissors on parts of my pet's body.

The build quality is amazing and the best performance I could have hoped for. I'm going to look up this company and order more scissors to replace the original scissors that I have. Comes with a fancy, good quality carrying/storage case too.
