This is a great shear set! We absolutely love the chunkers — they remove a lot of hair quickly and blend cuts beautifully. My coworker especially enjoys using them for tackling mats. They arrived sharp and have stayed that way even after several uses.

The included case is nice quality, though we don’t travel with ours, so it’s not getting much use at the moment. I really appreciate the added finger divot — it gives a more secure grip and better control while cutting.

My only gripe is that the curve of the blades is a bit larger than I personally prefer, and I wish there were rubber inserts to adjust the finger hole size. Other than that, these shears are excellent!

This grooming set arrived quickly and in perfect condition.
I am not a professional groomer however, I have been grooming my own poodles and poodle mixes for several decades. While other reviewers have mentioned these shears are not very sharp, they do seem sharp enough for my uses.
Most grooming tools are prohibitively expensive this set is well priced for a decent mix of necessary tools. While I have needed the thinning and chunking shears for years I've passed on purchasing a new pair due to costs.... my dogs still visit a professional groomer every few months. I am using these scissors merely to extend the time between visits to our groomer.
My deduction of one star is because of the tip of the shears.... they are not rounded off and could be the cause of injury to a dog in some beginners (and old beginners!) hands.... a blunted tip is preferred.
I do recommend this set for neatening up a trim and keeping the coat in shape.... anything that encourages a closer bond between a dog and his/her protector.

I've been using a basic $15 grooming scissor set for a while now, and honestly, the difference in quality with this citywish set is night and day. The minute you pick these up, they feel substantial and balanced. They are significantly sharper than my old set, making trimming feel smooth and effortless—no more snagging or folding hair. The inclusion of the curved and chunker shears, along with the standard straight pair, gives me professional results I simply couldn't achieve before. The comfort and precision alone justify the upgrade.
In terms of pure quality and performance, this set is a 5-star product; it’s vastly superior to the cheap alternatives.
The reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is purely based on value perception. While the quality is there, spending $60 is a serious investment for a home groomer. You are absolutely getting a much better product, but I'm still left wondering if the jump in price is perfectly matched by the jump in functionality. If you groom your dog regularly, the reduced hand fatigue and superior results make it worthwhile, but for occasional use, the price point might feel a bit steep. It's a fantastic set that works flawlessly, but be prepared to commit to the investment.

I was shocked to find that these Scissors arrived in a beautifully made faux leather case. Each piece having its own individual, and secure space for storage with an extra piece of fabric build into the inside of the case to keep the scissors from banging into eachother when the case is closed up for storage! The scissors themselves have a clean crisp sound of a good cut. I will be testing them out on my Great Pyrenees in the near future and will update this review to reflect how well they do or don't actually cut and if they hold up over time.

From the sound of them I would say they will do well.

I have a double coated dog who is prone to matting in his haunches and I needed a good set of grooming shears to clean up the matts as well as tidying up the long fur on his paws. The curved shears allowed me to get a really nice shape and get close to his body without risking any nicks and the metal comb does a great job of removing the chunks of his blown coat. I am very happy with this set and the sharp precision of the blades and my dog is happy to no longer have matts that can pull and irritate his skin. Very worthwhile and something I'd absolutely recommend.

This dog grooming set is great! The curve makes it so much easier to get the rounded face. The scissors are very sharp and effective. They are very easy to use. I would definitely recommend!

Well made. Makes grooming easier

This set of scissors are very sharp and highly efficient, they make clean cuts without sawing or trying to force the issue. I love the safety features of the curved scissors and the blunt tips. I can trim up my Yorkies in a fraction of the time of my old scissors. My only complaint is the finger holes in all three pair of scissors are small. They are ok for me to use but my husband cannot get his fingers in them at all, and that leaves all the grooming on me.

The quality of this scissor set honestly surprised me! The blades are sharp but safe to use thanks to the rounded tips, and the handles feel comfortable even during longer grooming sessions. They came in a sleek black case with a comb included, which keeps everything neat. The scissors glide smoothly through fur — great for trimming around paws and ears. A solid set for at-home grooming or touch-ups between professional visits.

This is a decent set of grooming shears with 3 curved shears, 1 normal, and 2 different sized thinning shears, as well as a metal comb.

The shears are very sharp out of the box, my wife cut herself pretty badly with them, not the fault of the shears, she's just one of those people that are dangerous with sharp objects. I will say though, that the claim of "safety round tips" isn't very accurate for the normal shears. They may be a bit rounded off, but are still pointy enough to hurt, and are nothing like the extra rounded tips you see on other grooming shears.

The holding case is a convenient addition. It is not very high quality, and the spaces where the shears slot in place are positioned a bit oddly and make the whole case a bit difficult to zip up. Each of the shears also comes in an additional plastic sheath. It is hard to say whether these are intended just for shipping, or are supposed to continue to be used. On one hand, they are very thin plastic and don't fit great, so seem like a throwaway item, but they also have loops on the back, as if they are meant to be used for something.

Overall, while these are sharp at the outset, and seem to be decent quality considering you are getting 3 shears for a $60, when high-quality shears can be pretty expensive just for one pair, but I am not convinced that this is the best value for the price, as there seem to be many nearly identical sets available for about 30% lower price. If I were shopping for a set, I would most likely buy one of those, as they seem to be of the same quality for less money.

I have no idea how long these will stay sharp, but I don't expect them to fall apart anytime soon, and should get a few years use out of them. This may be a good type of set to get started with, and figure out whether you really need all 3 types of shears before you invest in really good shears that cost a lot more than this. But when it comes down to it, I think this set is very similar to $40-$45 sets, and that is about what this set should be worth.

Nice set of grooming tools for my dogs. The comb is not good for my Goldendoodle but if your dog's fur is straight then you are good. The scissors are sharp and cuts well. The curved chunkers work and does the job. The zippered pouch holds the scissors and comb while protecting them for storage. These work great with my shears I use for my dogs. The finger holes are normal size, a little tight for my hands but I am 6'3' and 270lbs and my hands are big so these will work for the average person. The price is compatible with buying these items individually so if you need all the items then you will get a good deal.

This curved grooming scissor set is sharp and easy to handle. They have a nice weight and the grip feels comfortable in my hand. Both the curved shears and chunkers work really well on my dog’s coat and cut smoothly. I groom my dog at home, so I needed good quality scissors without spending professional level prices — and these are a great balance of quality and value.
