This is very sharp, you must be careful. But I will say, it does a really great job when I am trimming my dogs!

I'm not a professional groomer by any means, just a dog mom! I actually have my first long haired dog, a mini poodle mix. I don't take him to get professionally groomed very often since he lets me brush him daily and is also good in the bath. He goes for a professional grooming once every 2-3 months. That being said, in the mean time, I have to maintain his face myself. It's very easy with these curved, thinning scissors, to shape my dog's muzzle the way I like it and to keep the shape of his head generally cute. I don't know what I'm doing with them, cutting dog hair, but these definitely are easier than just normal shaped grooming scissors. The teeth that make them thinning scissors helps blend the cut you make which is crucial for someone who doesn't know what they are doing. It really makes it easy to not make my dog's hair look totally butchered between his professional grooming appointments. They are heavy duty and really nice quality and very sharp, so be careful! But the tip is nice and rounded for safety. They even came in a cute lavender case, which was a nice surprise, with a cloth and good care instructions. For the amateur at home, I think these are fantastic and definitely would recommend them.

I have a Bernese Mountain Dog and has tons of fur. I wanted these to help thin out the fur on his backside and the bottoms of his paws. These work really well and he doesn't seem to mind me using them at all. They're sharp Eno gh to cut through his thick fur and sufficiently comfortable with big hands. I'm satisfied with these.

My wife and I ordered these to try to keep our long haired German Shepherd looking good between her quarterly grooming sessions but unfortunately have had a hard time with these shears. They seem to be made of high quality material but we found them a little difficult to maintain an acceptable adjustment and the finger hole grips are definitely designed for smaller hands which made them almost impossible for me to comfortably use them. The curved design is great for thinning and they have they maintain a sharp cutting edge but not being a professional, and not being experienced groomers, we unfortunately have had a difficult time using them effectively.
