I ordered this grooming scissor set for my Australian Shepherd pup. She’s getting to the age where I’d need a larger set of trimming scissors to manage her leg, ear, and bum fur. This set has been perfect for cleaning up her fur, and is incredibly sharp. The comb is helpful in grabbing fur and guiding my trims, It comes with a really nice case to keep the set stored in, and is overall a really lovely product. It’s weighted nicely as well! I absolutely can recommend this set!

I've home groomed 11 of my Old English Sheepdogs for the past 20 years. I also provided a free online photo tutorial for OES pet owners for many years. So from a home groomer's perspective, these scissors rock! The curved scissors and also chunkers in general are pretty new to me but with more practice on my 3 current OESs, I'll get better with fewer cuts. I like how these chunkers take off coat quickly to shape the tail. The thinning scissors worked nicely at the corners of my littlest dog's eyes so she can see best. She's deaf and must be able to see what I'm asking/saying using sign language cues). All of the scissors in the set are sharp and make a clean cut through OES hair. I like the way the scissors feel in my hand, too. Included in the kit is a nice metal comb and storage case. I recommend these scissors for fellow home groomers looking for curved scissors at a good price.

They came as promised

This is a great shear set! We absolutely love the chunkers — they remove a lot of hair quickly and blend cuts beautifully. My coworker especially enjoys using them for tackling mats. They arrived sharp and have stayed that way even after several uses.

The included case is nice quality, though we don’t travel with ours, so it’s not getting much use at the moment. I really appreciate the added finger divot — it gives a more secure grip and better control while cutting.

My only gripe is that the curve of the blades is a bit larger than I personally prefer, and I wish there were rubber inserts to adjust the finger hole size. Other than that, these shears are excellent!

We just got a bernedoodle with wavy hair and quickly realized that we need a way to groom in between professional grooming appointments. After watching many videos, we discovered the need for these specialized grooming shears and wow, I’m so impressed, I think I may just try to groom her myself! These are sharp and work well and come with a case. They feel well made and are easy to control in my hand. Great for home groomers!

Do the job well

This makes grooming my dog so much easier! I have a Goldendoodle, and trust me, his hair is no joke 😅. With these scissors, I can finally trim and detail his fur really well. They’re sharp, comfortable to hold, and give me full control without worrying about hurting him thanks to the rounded tips. Way smoother and faster than before total must have!

I can’t always get to the groomer. I can feel confident in trimming my sweet little Maltese, because these are made well and are sharp.

First thing, I’m not a groomer, just an Oorang Airedale owner who is like 8 hours away from the nearest groomer who does hand-stripping. Picture 1 is before on her back, pic 2 you can see her side is “in process”, pic 3 is after on her back.

Second, these tools took way longer to come in than originally estimated (I’m talking like add an extra two weeks).

These were the perfect size for my hands, but I’m a woman with average sized hands. They are very high quality, and sharp. They clean easy, and I thought they worked great. I did a lot of YouTube video watching to get the hand motions correct, so if you are doing this to save money you need to do the same thing.

Hand stripping is a LONG process on my dog, who is 70 lbs, so consider if your dog can take that. But the amount of hair you get off will astound you. I promise. My dog is definitely happy to not have the extra fur weighing her down during summer, and this is a healthy process for wire-haired breeds. Very similar to sheep that have to be sheared because they can’t shed the hair naturally. Can’t wait to do it again in a couple of months!

This is a really nice set of scissors. I'm not a professional, but I do have one shaggy dog and a Ragdoll cat that I have used these on. I've used them on my cat's back hind quarters for sanitary reasons, and I've used them on my dog because she has a skin issue and taking her to the groomer can be embarrassing. They cut easily which makes the job much faster, which my animals definitely appreciate. I'll probably use the thinning shears in warmer weather on my dog so she can stay shaggy but will hopefully make her feel cooler. I mostly trim around her eyes, ears, and beard area and I feel much more confident using these than regular scissors. They are a good weight, seem to be high quality, and feel nice to hold.
