What is the benefit of VG10 steel over 440C?:
VG10 is a higher-grade "super steel" containing Cobalt. It is harder than 440C, meaning it can take a sharper edge and, most importantly, hold that edge for much longer. You won't need to sharpen VG10 shears as often as standard scissors. ---

Standard convex blades are very smooth, which can cause thick or slippery hair to "slide" forward when you close the scissors.
