Hold the scissors comfortably, using the finger rest for control. Trim along the natural curves of the dog’s body—like the legs, chest, and face. Start from the base of the blade and move to the tip for smooth, continuous lines. Ideal for creating round shapes and polished silhouettes.

Blender Shears – Soften Edges and Transitions

Use the blender after your main trim to remove visible lines and blend different coat lengths. Snip gently along the edges of the trimmed area, especially on the face, legs, and neck. Work with small, overlapping cuts and comb between snips for a clean, natural finish.

Thinner Shears – Reduce Bulk and Maintain Texture

Comb through thick or dense areas like the chest, pants, or behind the ears. Use the thinner shears in short, repeated snips to lightly reduce volume without changing the shape. Keep your motion light and work gradually across each section for a soft, airy coat.
